Homecoming season
Homecoming season is upon us here in my local area. The local high school students, which include my two sons, are gearing up. Pride day is Thursday (10/2) and Friday (10/3) which means my boys will not be attending classes. Instead, they will be working along side their classmates finishing the floats for the homecoming parade, and getting their photos taken. All 456 high school students will be lining up on the football field in the form of our town name while the helicopter takes a photo of them from high above.
I sure would not want to organize that float that is for sure, imagine trying to get that many teenagers to do anything at the same time. Quite a feat I must say, and I am sure I will hear their laughter from my back yard a block from school.
Saturday when the homecoming football game is on, my backyard will be lit up so brightly I could mow my lawn if I cared too. Traffic around the school will be heavy that is for sure, so I am glad I do not have to park up there. However, it is always a battle to cross the road here. I have no football players in my house, but they both are on SADD, and will be riding on that float.
