Interview at walmart
I had applied at our local Wal-Mart back in May or June of 2007 before I quit my job at the local nursing home. When I could not find a job in a nursing home closer to home or even at Wal-Mart, I began writing full time. Perhaps as a single parent, that was not a smart choice but it has worked for me for the most part. This is because I was not the only one working in the house, but soon I will be.
It has been a hard year, and I had no savings to fall back on when I began writing so I went at things full force. I would not say I fell flat on my face, but I sunk low until I got my self up to speed. At first, I was just working on one site, and struggling so much until I was picking up other freelance jobs. Things got easier until the site that paid me the most money began to cut back on things. I then had to branch out and begin writing for other content sites. I am now writing upwards of 150 articles a month with most selling for between a dollar and five dollars. I get decent pay views from that biggest site to cover the house payment, but I find myself getting so burnt out from having to write so many a day.
I finally got a leg into Wal-Mart a year and a half later of updating the application, and talking with personnel on a daily basis for a few months. My boyfriend who is a 9-year employee talked to managers and so have I. Today though I called the store and talked with the manager of the store, and even thought I am quite nervous I do have an interview on Thursday morning. I pray I walk out of there with a job. Trust me it could not come at a better time and I can start rather quickly. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I have full plans to keep writing but I will write far less if I am full time. I will have my page view bonuses to cushion my wages, but I will still write far less articles on a monthly basis. Heck I might even have time to finish a novel that I am into by almost 33,000 words.
