Fire, computers, and everything

What would you do as a freelancer writer if your computer was suddenly with the internet or worse yet broken?  Last fall when I was without a internet connection I would write the articles at home, put them on a flash drive, and go up to my boyfriend’s apartment to post them. I would do a few days worth of articles, and post them together making sure to begin posting around midnight so I would keep the money flowing on a daily basis.

Now I am posting and writing from Ray’s house again, because of a minor fire at my house so the kids and I cannot be there. We are fine, and out with relatives but man something has to give here.

As a computer technician by trade I can fix problems as they occur on my computer, and I would be lost if anything happened that I could not fix.  I have been there once in the past 8 years or so, but by the next payday, I had a new computer. Sure, I could have just replaced the hard drive, but since the old one was five years old, it needed to be replaced. I bought this one which it still running and has been upgraded since that initial purchase. I would be lost thought if I had to write my articles on paper on a daily basis and then type them into the computer.

So while you might complain about the amount of articles you write, just be thankful you have a computer that allows you to write and read articles like this.
