After months of just stopping by for a few minutes to talk to our kids once a month for a few minutes, he began showing up every other day. He was looking for his driver’s license, which the state of pa was going to send here. I am thinking to myself this is not right a PA license when he’s lived in NY for over a year.

My daughter, her children, and I had just arrived home, with groceries. My boys were walking down the street returning from school as well. I enlisted their help to carry in the groceries, as I paused to get the mail. In it was the envelope with his driver’s license.

My older son who is grabbing another load of groceries yells dad is here, as I am removing my keys from the door. I hear my husband ask the kids if the envelope came, I remained quiet. My older son walked inside, as i tucked the envelope under a stack of laundry. I gave him an obama flyer with his dad’s name n it and said this is it. He took it out and gave it to his father who left a short minute later disappointed about his silence.

I tried to call my parents by they were not home, my boyfriend was working so I could not ask him either. Instead, I went online to a forum I belong to, and posted a message. My friends said it was fraud among other things, and I knew I had to do the only lawful thing.

I always go into Wal-Mart to have lunch with my boyfriend on Monday nights, so I slipped the envelope in my pocket as my youngest son was with me. Jimmy went off to play with a rock band that was set up in the clothing department. I pulled the envelope out of my pocket and wrote. Return to sender, as resident has not live here since he moved to NY in 1/07.

I asked Ray (boyfriend since 3/06) to pop it in the mailbox when he went home as I did not want my kids to know what I had did. They would not have understood it.

Stay tuned for the next blog
